Yes, she’s cute and all but…

How long does it take to housebreak a female puppy?
I love Brianna… I really do, but do you know how difficult it’s been trying to housebreak the little shit?
She’s been great about doing her ploppies outside, but when it comes to peeing… she might as well live in Mistake City.
It’s sad because I feel like the only way to train her is by putting her in her crate 90% of the day even though I have been working from home four days a week.
But honestly, at this point, it’s become so much easier to put her away and only see her when it’s time to go outside.
I’m convinced she will never learn… I know girl dogs are harder to housebreak than boy dogs, but this is getting ridiculous.
*sigh*

unfortunatley you may have to do the crate thing you mention or watch her while she is not in it (be downstairs with her, or her upstairs with you).
now i am thankful for honey’s long legs cause when she was about to go i could clearly see it and take her out.
Very tricky. Honestly it took us a long time before our girl became housebroken. And even now at the ripe age of 12 she still isn’t perfect. Have you been using wee-wee pads as a training tool? they work wonderfully.
Thank you for your kind words to me. I appreciate all that you have to say. Of course I need to let go of the past but sometimes events or moments from the past play such a pivotal role in the making of who we are and what we do in the present…it is quite difficult to shake them away and move on to a better life. I know I need to do it and I have made tiny steps towards it but…well I guess sometimes I want to give up because the frustration is so high and the depression so low, you know?
BUT I’ve had a couple of good days so enough of the DH analysis (boring! yawn!).
I have no reason not to make it to a gig so I will be there. Not sure exactly when but I will surprise be sure of that
I definitely need as many fun, intelligent and good friends as possible!!!
Our little girl, Bruschetta, is 7 and a bitch about peeing. Sometimes I think she does it when she gets pissed at us. (Joke intended.) I have noticed that she has been gving us signs lately - they’re just not as obvious our boy Pablo.
